Established in 1964, the LJH Group was originally a family owned specialist engineering company. It has served and consolidated its position in the bulk materials handling industry supplying a range of diverse projects with heavy duty conveying systems, screening stations, and material storage facilities. It was one of the first companies in Europe to hire mobile screening plant to a wide variety of industries. Additionally, it also provides a used plant hire service.
Since its inception the company has made considerable progress, its evolution and understanding of developing new markets has enabled it to survive several recessions whilst remaining profitable. Throughout this period the company has acquired considerable expertise through experience of application and professionalism. This has further enabled the company to provide custom built products for the mineral extraction industry and more recently the waste reclamation industries.
From July 1st 2005 a new company, DUO Europe plc became fully operational. The result of a joint venture arrangement between Powerscreen Washing Systems and Hydrex, this company is the fruition of a business concept of "Two Working as One". LJH Group is the manufacturing component of the venture. The new company will provide the Aggregate, Recycling and Material Handling Industries with a comprehensive package of complete processing solutions including specific industrial applications for; waste transfer stations, quarrying, sugar beet, metal recycling, roads, port handling and waste paper.
DUO Manufacturing offers R&D facilities using the latest CAD technology enabling it to provide development facilities for other companies supplying to the mineral extraction and recycling industries. This has benefited us by improving our knowledge and efficiency, and establishing a reputation for high quality workmanship, solid rugged design, and quick delivery.
