Unit Cost Processing
DUO offer a comprehensive Unit Cost Processing facility that is tailored to meet individual customer's requirements. This may be supplying a Processing Plant alone or all of the Labour and associated Mobile Plant as well.
Unit Cost Processing works on a fixed price per ton basis, for finished material. This means that there are no surprise costs for our customers and enables accurate financial planning.
We take responsibility for the supply of ‘in specification' material when our client requires it, and should our client's requirements change, equipment can be added or taken away with the price altered accordingly.
With no capital investment in equipment required and with Duo operating the plant on behalf of our customer, should they require us to, Unit Cost Processing can be an excellent option.
DUO have a large Unit Cost Processing client base including CEMEX, Tarmac, Hanson and Bardon. These are all major Aggregate producers, but the facility is very popular with Construction Companies as well such as Alfred McAlpine, Balfour Beatty, Amec and Carillon. These often form joint Ventures on major road building projects such as the M6 Toll, A1 Upgrade and the M25, where Borrow Pits are used and DUO have played a major part in equipment and labour supply.
A recent example of how DUO's Unit Cost Processing has benefited a customer is when the Washing Plant at CEMEX Angerstein Wharf suffered fire damage and needed replacing. DUO was called upon to supply a mobile plant to continue production. The small Modular plant was so successful it changed the way that CEMEX viewed its operations and subsequently led to them to place orders with DUO for in quick succession.
