Road Sweeper & Gully Waste Processing Unit.
Our Mobile Road Sweeper Waste Processing Unit is designed to assist in the separation and treatment of waste water used in several processes including, road sweeping and gully clearance.
The primary stage is to dewater the material and filter the water to remove the Hydrocarbons. This water can then be reused or discharged to drain. The dewatered solids can be sent to landfill or if sufficient solids are present can be further processed to separate all the sand and gravel and compostable material.
The second stage is to wash the solids to separate into reusable sand, gravel and organics. The hydrocarbons are removed from the water.
Duo can offer either fixed or mobile plant for the first and second stage of processing this material. In 2010 we supplied the first mobile dewatering and filtration unit. This has significantly reduced the carbon footprint for our customer as their road sweepers can now discharge closer to the source of the material and the water is clean enough to be reused or discharged. This brings both economic and environmental benefits.
