NATIONAL ACCOUNTS SALES MANAGER – CONSTRUCTION PLANT

As a result of further expansion and continued success, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly self-motivated National Accounts Sales Manager to complement our established and successful team. We are looking for team-player, who will be able to build a sales plan to identify and target prospective customers and deliver on the agreed sales targets to National and Corporate companies within the aggregates, quarrying, waste and recycling sectors.

 

MAIN FUNCTION OF JOB:

  • Targeting prospective customers from our database of contacts
  • Liaising and working with our internal group sales team to identify potential targets
  • Account management and maximizing existing group customers and contacts
  • Delivering on the annual sales plan
  • Ensuring activity levels are enough to deliver on the plan
  • Preparing quotations and completing tender documents to the highest levels of quality

 

The role will involve:

  • Developing an individual sales plan, targeting new prospective customers
  • Ensuring the required number of sales and all other agreed targets are achieved
  • Marketing and prospecting and development of campaigns with support from the marketing dept
  • Presenting at high level to boards of directors and buyers
  • Ensuring the CRM System is always kept up to date to assist with marketing and continued performance
  • Completing regular reports and forecasts updating the current business position
  • Taking all opportunities to further extend your knowledge and development to assist in this role

 

The right candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ demonstratable and successful experience selling capital plant or construction equipment in some or all the quarrying, aggregates, waste or recycling sectors
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the sales process and demonstratable account management experience
  • Sound understanding of construction equipment, wheeled loaders, crawler and wheeled excavators and articulated dump trucks
  • Experience of selling to and account managing blue-chip companies, often in a corporate environment
  • Flexible and professional approach to all clients/customers

Qualifications

  • It would be advantageous to have experience or OEM training on Doosan or similar construction equipment manufacturers

 

Experience

  • Previous sales experience of selling construction equipment
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of selling to Key or National Accounts

  • Desire to have on-going training to further develop skill-sets and knowledge
  • Management experience would also be advantageous
