SERVICE CONTROLLER – Service & Parts, Meriden

As a result of further expansion and continued success, Duo Assets Limited, part of The Duo Group, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly organised Service Controller to complement our established and successful team. We are looking for a team-player, with a can-do attitude, who will be able to coordinate and implement new processes to enable us to provide the best of service to our customers.

 

MAIN FUNCTION OF JOB:

  • Management and co-ordination of field and workshop based Service and Sub-contract Engineers
  • Ensuring compliance with all aspects of the Groups Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies.
  • Liaison with Parts Team to source parts to meet servicing and breakdown needs.
  • Providing a quality service to all clients in accordance with our target KPI; s

 

The role will involve:

  • Arrange and co-ordinate all scheduled servicing in accordance with client needs.
  • Provide breakdown response to client’s needs.
  • Prioritisation of machine breakdowns and arranging for repair and replacement parts
  • Update clients on breakdown progress
  • Meet clients and DUO’s KPI’s
  • Ensure all Service Engineers comply with Group SHEQ policies.
  • Ensure utilisation of all service engineers
  • Check weekly Plant Sheets and arrange for all requested work to be completed
  • Supply technical information to Engineers, Customers, Haulers, etc.
  • Make all follow-up calls
  • Oversee fully Service Call Reports and sign off for DUO Engineers and Sub-contract Engineers.
  • Raise Order numbers, which must contain associated costs and sign off
  • Ensure all chargeable jobs are recharged.
  • Ensuring all warranty claims are progressed.
  • Resolve all disputes with Engineers
  • Bring disputes to disciplinary hearings via Personnel
  • Recruitment of Service Engineers via Personnel
  • Liaise with Parts team on stocking levels.
  • Arranging PDI’s
  • Arranging LOLER and other periodic inspections.
  • Ensure all employed and sub-contractors have relevant up-to-date Safety Passports/Method Statements/PPE/Tools, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • Engineering or service management qualifications would be an advantage

Experience

  • Previous service experience and of working within a service environment
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Experience of working within service within the construction or quarrying sector.

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good IT skills using all Microsoft packages, especially Excel
  • Attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Excellent Numeracy skills
