      Area Sales Manager – Crushing & Screening Equipment – Yorkshire

      As a result of further expansion and continued success, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly self-motivated Business Development Manager to complement our established and successful team. We are looking for team-player, who will be able to build a sales plan to identify and target prospective customers and deliver on the agreed sales targets within the Yorkshire territory, within the aggregates, quarrying, waste and recycling sectors.

      MAIN FUNCTION OF JOB:

      • Targeting prospective customers from our database of contacts as well as identifying new businesses within the region of Yorkshire
      • Liaising and working with our internal group sales team to identify potential targets
      • Account management and maximising existing group customers and contacts
      • Delivering on the annual sales plan
      • Ensuring activity levels are enough to deliver on the plan
      • Preparing quotations and completing tender documents to the highest levels of quality

      The role will involve:

      • Developing your individual sales plan, targeting new prospective customers
      • Ensuring the required number of sales and all other agreed targets are achieved
      • Marketing and prospecting and development of campaigns with support from the marketing dept
      • Interacting with all levels of customers including directors, operators and engineers
      • Ensuring the CRM System is always kept up to date to assist with marketing and continued performance KPI’s
      • Completing regular reports and forecasts updating the current business position
      • Taking all opportunities to further extend your knowledge and development to assist in this role

      The right candidate will have:

      • Minimum 2 years’ demonstratable and successful experience selling capital plant or construction equipment in some or all the quarrying, aggregates, waste or recycling sectors
      • Deep knowledge and understanding of the sales process and demonstratable successful sales experience
      • An understanding of crushing & screening equipment
      • Flexible and professional approach to all clients/customers

      Qualifications

      • It would be advantageous to have experience or OEM training from Terex / Powerscreen or similar crushing and screening equipment manufacturers

      Experience

      • Previous sales experience of selling within the quarrying, aggregates, waste recycling sectors
      • Minimum 2 years’ experience of selling to capital equipment

      • Knowledge of quarrying and construction equipment practice

      • Excellent communication and ‘people skills’

      • Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines

      • You will need to be flexible and have a Can-Do attitude
      • Be able to manage your time efficiently along with working to tight deadlines
      • Desire to have on-going training to further develop skill sets and knowledge
