      Duo Electrical Site – Lead Electrical Engineer

      MAIN FUNCTION OF JOB:

      Lead Electrical Engineer to be responsible for monitoring, supervising and ensuring the delivery of all aspects of day-to-day repairs, programmed servicing, minor works and installations in relation to electrical works within Housing Client properties, ensuring teams operate to defined standards, delivering high levels customer service, whilst satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.

      Accountabilities

      • Management of all aspects of operational delivery and contractual performance in relation to electrical testing, and associated remedials
      • Ensure compliancy and adherence to:
      • Health & Safety regulations and procedures
      • Approved Codes of Practice
      • NICEIC Safety Standards
      • Industry Standards
      • Demonstrate, maintain and monitor the company’s commitment to best practice with legislation, codes of practice, and good working practices relevant to all activities.
      • Able to quality assure and sign off certificates when demand requires
      • Management of direct and sub-contractor engineers and supply chain, identifying opportunities to increase productivity and demonstrate savings.
      • Sign of sub-contractor and suppliers’ invoices
      • Cost tenders, and carry out site surveys for new build and refurbishment works
      • Manage new build sites as required.
      • Management of electrical testing programmes ensuring all checks are completed within the agreed client timescales and suitable evidence collected to demonstrate compliance.
      • Cultivate a positive, customer focused culture that is instilled and promoted across all work / programme activities. Ensure this is actively demonstrated by staff through appearance of sites, company ID, condition of vehicles and the maintenance of high health & safety standards.
      • Adherence to and completion of company & client reporting within required timescales, ensuring attainment of high levels of satisfaction with performance delivery and that KPI targets
      • Manage employees’ performance, coach and develop individual in their roles.

      Cultivate a strong working relationship with clients, engineers and managing client expectation, attending meetings where required, and assisting in business development activities and the preparation of bids.

      (Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required).

      Responsibilities:

      • Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements as required
      • Inspecting, checking over and completing mobile/Installation equipment, powered equipment – daily checks before use.
      • To aid Project Manager on progress and site conditions.
      • Resolve on-site issues occurring during installations
      • Confirm all site operational tasks are being completed under the correct Health & Safety paperwork and in a safe manner
      • Reading and following technical drawings
      • Read and understand structure assembling drawings
      • Measuring correct lengths and distances
      • Assisting the Installation Site Supervisor or Lead Engineer to de-mark structure footprints ready for installation
      • Being environmentally aware
      • Overall safety on site to STAR policy
      • Control spend, costs,
      • Warranty claims
      • Find solutions
      • Advise on future training plans
      • To Advise Planning Coordinators and Project Managers on resource/skill set vs installation/project
      • To aid salesman once directed by Line Manger in correct pricing
      • To aid Sales Processing Team
